[0.915][bug] Wandering monster attacks Tarth outpost

For the most part the monsters in my game left Tarth alone but twice a wandering minor drake attacked some of my Tarth structures. First it attacked a tamed spider unit guarding my outpost (it did not destroy the outpost) and it also destroyed an unguarded air shrine I was building in the same area. Not sure if monsters are intended to attack outposts and outpost covered structures or not. They did not attack any of my cities.

They are meant to move randomly around the map when they are not chasing any units.  That means they can bump into outposts and external resources and raze them.  However I don't think they should be able to try to move onto an outpost when there is a unit on the outpost.

i think for tarth and their special ability monsters shouldn't even randomly destroy their outposts or improvements...afterall they should have the ability to build their empire next to the monsters. when monsters still could randomly destroy their outposts or improvements, this faction ability would be much less effective.

That would make a custom faction with Master Scouts and the Monolith trait Enchanters (which give Arcane Monolith and elemental spellbooks) too powerful.

StevenAus; I take it you mean that it could a strategy of forcing/hording monsters towards enemy cities by blocking all other paths with monoliths. Fun perhaps. Agree it would be OP though.

custom factions can be atm in general too powerful!!! as it stands now, we can create a custom faction with TWO OP-Abilities (like masterscouts and henchman for example)!

I'm fine with roaming monsters accidentally destroying structures.  I was playing as Tarth and build a mine right next to a dragon spawning drakes that would bump into it and destroy the mine.  It forced me to deal with the dragon, but on my own terms.

What I don't like is the fact that wandering monsters can destroy all buildings except the outpost itself, and that the AI can take over the outpost.  It's as though the outpost is a physical building--but only to the enemy AI; while to monsters, it's invisible.

I'm thinking the UI really ought to prevent picking two of the racial traits, they should be in their own selection box. "Pick one of these", then move on to next customization.

End of stein220's quote

I agree, roaming monsters should destroy things from time to time.  Just make it true for the AI sovereigns as well.
