[0.915] Monsters are still not attacking the AI

Unfortunately, it appears that the AI is still able to found cities near monsters and can release them if it plants an outpost near a monster lair.

I was playing as Resoln and I declared war on the Altar faction (they were close... and weak...). When I took their first city (forget the name, sorry. It should be the city on the far east end of my empire in the save) I noticed that a ravenous spider army (and nest) was directly southeast of their city. The game save I have uploaded below is the aftermath of me taking the city and noticing the spider lair.

I continued playing and I noticed that the Altar outpost directly northwest of the town I had just taken had just released a hoarder spider army. Unfortunately, the spider army did not attack the outpost, and instead started wandering aimlessly in the woods just north of my newly conquested town.

One more unrelated bug to report: if the Resoln faction loses an elemental that spawns from a node, are they capable of training a new one from that node? In the game save that I have uploaded, I lost a death node demon and could not replace it. Nor could I replace a crow demon from my air node.

Monsters never target ouposts or resources f any player. If it destroys one it's because it got in its way.

There north thing stopping you from building near monsters. You're rolling the dice. If you're tarty, you should build around monsters.

Never target outposts?  Surely that's just another good reason to engage in outpost spamming?

I think Outposts and Cities will get love in Beta 4.

Well hopefully they will start targeting outpost and cities of all players in up coming patches or put in an option so that we can select to allow monsters to do this.

That sounds like the description of the bug right there. Anything that is able to trigger monsters to roam should obviously also be valid targets for monster.

What has been requested by several players is that monsters would take out the offending unit/outpost and then stop the roaming until disturbed again.

So, does this mean that monsters will no longer attack pioneers that wander near their lairs either?

Also, when an outpost disturbs a monster lair (causing it to roam) what is the desired monster behavior?

In the linked save game, Altair disturbed the hoarder spider lair, causing the hoarder spider army to start wandering, seemingly aimlessly, in the forest near my captured city. The spider did not, as you mention, attack the outpost, but neither did it return to its lair nor attack player/AI units that wandered near it.

I am just looking for a bit more clarification on the current behavior and to see if this behavior is, in fact, a problem or if we should ignore it for the time being.

I think monsters should target outposts, but I also think we should be able to station troops in an outpost.  Restrict the ZOC to 1 tile from the center of the outpost.

I would also like to see outposts cost some money to build, and have a build time of 10 seasons or so.
