[0.914] BUG - We are too busy to talk...

... but I don't want to talk, I want to kill you. Still, all I get is the talk cursor. Even if I manually select Attack command, click on the target unit, it still changes to talk  cursor... and they are too busy. Seems a bit retarded.

Oh - and unit selection is still living hell. I manually select all my three heroes, want to move - no more moves. Okay, I click end turn, the two heroes besides my sovereign ninja-deselect, so when I want to finally move, I find out I am charging the enemy army alone. Uber-retarded.

Units still exhibit little surrounding awareness - I understand you had to disable mob attacking each other, because they are utterly careless. AI still parades lone sovereign three steps behind the main stack (challenging difficulty).

There is a "workaround" if you want to attack but cant, because they are too busy.

Say i can talk with altar, but not gilden and pariden, and want to attack gilden.

Initiate a chat with altar. Notice the arrows on top of the screen beside the name which enable you to cycle thru the factions. Click on them until you get to gilden, and then you can declare war np.

Or you can just trade your war declaration with another faction for res... >.>

It's kinda cheap, but works too well.

Or, can we understand why this happens?  It reminds me of the days of playing Abraham Lincoln with democratic government.  Getting outvoted for war at every turn.

That's what this essentially is without there being a vote.  Essentially the AI decides.

On the note of unit selection...Since WoM shift clicking or Ctrl clicking severely lag the cursor.  Forcing me to shift-click, shift-click...and of course I do the occasional click-shift (damn-it) and have to start over.  Is this just me?

I could not do any of the proposed workarounds, because the kingdom I wanted to kill was the only one I was in contact with.

Attack should circumvent any diplomacy - no more talk, just slit their throats, let the sand drink their blood.

@Kamamura_CZ completely agree. Refusing to talk is just rude, there should be a way to uni-laterally null and void any treaties you have and go to war. I spent ages trying to get into contact with a faction I needed to go to war with, they refused to talk and my armies just sat there idle.

In that case, just walk your army up to their cities, they'll tell you to get out, and you can say, "I want your head on a pike!" or something like that. Then take their city while you're at it.
