Repeated Freezing

Since the update to .913 (and despite the upgrade to .914), I can't play more than a 5 or 10 mins without the game freezing indefinitely, requiring a hard reboot.  I've updated all audio and video drivers and have made sure that I have latest version of DirectX.  I'm playing on a Windows XP system, have GeForce 6800 card and SB Audigy sound card.

.912 was buggy, and the UI frequently disappeared on me, but at least I could make it through a couple of games.  Any thoughts as what I can try to avoid the constant freezing?  I'd be crushed if I had to stop playing.  Thanks.

I have the same thing on my game too. Will the be the case for all xp users i hope not cause i like this game a lot plz fix if you can

Not just XP im on windows 7 and have also experienced a couple of hard freezes in .914 never had them before on earlier versions. Though .86 had so many crash to desktops for me it was unplayable that problem has cleared up .914 jist to be replaced by the much rarer but more upsettig solid system freeze.

Also running XP.

No freezes here, but very frequent crashes as well as frequent slowdowns that make the HUD disappear.

The slowdowns where much more frequent before I reduced the resolution, that helped a lot, but the CTDs are still there.
