Just beat a challenging small game with 4 players while playing as Roseln via quest victory. Here are some thoughts and bugs.

I actually took the time to play a few games and build up some unit designs for the AI to use and it makes a huge difference. The AI was throwing upgraded and armored troops at me. Honestly I would have been destroyed if the AI didn't still have a few quirks and Dirge of Ceresa didn't oneshot armies.
AI Quirks
It seems the AI can't see food resources when placing outposts.
I parked my army outside of a city where the AI had a huge army and it then started to send it's champions out to fight me 1 by 1.
Moving near to an AI unit makes them pause for a turn. Making it really easy to chase down AI armies and units.
The AI had tons of champions but it was still sending armies without champion support at me.
The AI still tries to pick fights with monsters that are way too tough for it.
Unit Design
Axes are judged to be better then burning axes by the upgrade system.
The Zealot trait is broken. It has no icon and can't be selected.
Champion armor seems to take less research to unlock then platemail.
It took over 150 turns for the Darkling resource to spawn, by then they were completely useless.
The AI keeps upgrading it's troops with robes. So their heavy infantry will be wearing robes. Of course as it stands the robes are kinda OP because they only have 1 less armor then leather but are weightless and grant +2 initiative.
Also the unit upgrade system needs a few tweaks. A lot of new Items have been added and they kinda mess up the upgrade paths, For example staffs are not the same as mauls so why do they upgrade into them? Same deal with robes and armor as well as knives and axes.
Mages should really upgrade. It is a pointless annoyance that they don't. That amulet is too important to miss out on but as is stands there is no way to upgrade into it.
All traits should be unlocked from start. It makes unit design and upgrading much easier. I believe the devs have talked about this.
The Roseln specific trait Hallowed Rite grants 1 mana for killing a unit and is quite possibly the worst trait ever.
The New Quest Victory (Warning Spoilers)
The graphics for the Pit of Lost Voices were not loading. It seemed to me to just be some mountains with 2 gates.
The Dragon Statue quests are actually much harder then the End Quest. You have to run around more and the last fight is tougher. 6-7 Ashwakes are much harder to deal with then a single guy on a dragon, even if it is a duel. Also while a level 1 Ashwake dragon is tough it isn't that great of a reward if the only way to get it is to be strong enough to defeat a swarm of Ashwakes. At that point in the game a Ashwake Dragon is a medicore unit, and you probably could have won via the end quest already.

All that said .914 was a lot of fun to play! The balance is finally starting to shift into place. Great work Stardock.
