I will be posting a video tomorrow, at the moment i am having issues explaining to youtube that i am over 18 years old since i have no cellphone 
Will try to sort it out with a phonecall on tuesday. I noticed that until i do that only have a 15 minute limit on videos... sigh the program im using to capture my game makes 20 minute videos uhg 
YouTube can be hard work. And upload times can be terrible. Would love a quick way to upload.
What program are you using?
I'm using a program called fraps to record - it will split your vidoes into 4 gig files while you record - which works out to about 20 minutes. Unfotuneately i just realized youtube has a 15 minute vedoe limit unless you age verify your account. Since i don't have a cellphone - i can't do that. 
so i just started looking for an avi splitter, which i think i found so i can make 10 minute videos. Which will work.
If you buy fraps the newest version removes the 4 gig limit. I can't give any advice on the age verification... I never had to go through it myself.
I record with Fraps and edit/compress using Virtual Dub, a free program. I use the free xvid codec to compress, it seems to work pretty well with youtube.
Long videos at 1080p get really big and it would take me a long time to upload. I recorded an hours worth of footage for Legend of Grimrock and then realized that it came out to 10 GB... I just gave up and deleted it. If you limit to 720p it goes faster, I suppose you can lower quality on the compression as well.
How large are your files in MB/minute Das123?
I use Bandicam to record. It compresses as it records which is really nice. I used to use Fraps until finding it. I actually don't post-process its output. A 30 minute video is typically around 900Mb. And the quality is good.
Ha! good info guys i should have asked beforehand it might have saved me some grief lol. I'll check out bandicam and virtual dub tonihht after the kids go to sleep.
What i eneded up doing is using fraps to record and using windows movie maker to edit and compress my vidoes. Putting them up right now.
