[0.912] Missing graphics in Unitdetailscreen ... and stuff

I can see units on the map, but not in those screens. Heros, Monster, in battles or outside, at the tradescreen, in the unit details or the screen where you pick your sovereign... None. Somehow i can see them in the unitcreationscreen, tho.

I allready downloaded the game twice, in hope it would be some corrupted files. Didn't change a thing.

Running system is an new one, just a couple of days old:

i5-2320

AMD Radeon HD 6470M (drivers should be up to date)

8 GB RAM

I also noticed a couple other graphicbugs. Like the coastline in the screenshot, i shouldn't be able to see yet, a quite strange looking waterfall, those healthbar-problems other people allready reported and a mousecurser who's going nuts, as long as i hold down shift.

On another subjekt: It was suprisingly hard to write this... The first time i tried, i noticed my forum-username was my e-mail-adress by default. I changed it, but luckily wanted to make a screenshot of the problem first, before i wrote something... Turned out, i couldn't get back in the game with a new username. So, to be able to let you enjoy my company while playing the game, i had to register a second account... For that, i hereby request a handwritten thankyou-letter and a fruitbasket.

Found another one: I have no unit left there for some turns, but can still see the area.

Try deleting your "C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental - Fallen Enchantress\Screens" directory and see if that resolves your issue with the unit info screen.

As for the hand written thank you and fruit basket.  The closest we have is a photo of something scrawled on a white board and our associate producer.  It will have to do.  ;)

Thanks for the quick reply, but deleting that directory didn't do the trick, i'm affraid.

And an associate producer? Really?... Oh boy... How about we settle for just the empty basket?

I installed the beta on my fathers new laptop in a fit of boredom. I got exactly the same problem as described here. On my own laptop everything is fine. I updated graphics drivers to no avail.

I finally went ahead and preordered the game so I could give the beta a try. :)

Unfortunately I also seem to be having this problem. I also tried Mr. Paxton's fix but to no avail.

Any help would be much appreciated.

New version, same issue.

That's good to know, joasoze, thanks for the post. If other people have the same problem, it should at least slightly decrease the chance that my undoubtful stupidity is the cause, in this case.

If anyone else out there has the same thing going on (or might know a way around it) please feel free to speak out. Maybe that way we find the common factor and can kick him where it hurts. I for one would really like to see if my sovereigns new shield fits well with his eyecolor, for example.

EDIT: Oh, and thanks to you too, ChaosReigns08! ...Ninja'd me there. ;)

I failed to mention in my post above that I downloaded the full 0.913 installer, not any update, so I'm having this issue in 0.913 also.

My graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD 6450. I'm also running 8 gigs of ram.

Edit: No worries Naaarf. I'd love to see this issue fixed.

Almost the same card then. Mhm, we are getting closer... I have no clue about that stuff, but i can FEEL it!

Well, maybe not, but still: joasoze, do you know wich graphic card the laptop of your father is using?

And @ Kael or another Dev: If there are more infos needed which could help in sorting out the problem, please let me know. I'm here to serve. (Completly selfless, of course.)

It may well be something to do with the graphics card. I put the installer I had used on my home computer on a flash drive and used that same installer (to make sure the files weren't somehow corrupted) to put Fallen Enchantress on my work computer (which does not have an AMD graphics card at all, as far as I know). The game ran without a hitch.

Now, if only I was sufficiently computer savvy to experiment with finding potential work-arounds.

Edit: So much for that. I went back today and tried to fire up Fallen Enchantress, but the bug seems to have appeared on my work computer as well now. It definitely doesn't have an AMD graphics card. I checked today. :\
