Return to beta 0.86

I have uninstalled beta 0.91 and reinstalled 0.86.  I am hoping Stardock comes to their senses and does something like this in beta 4.  To do this, go to the directory where the FallenEnchantress-0.86_beta_setup file is located (I found it in c:\Users\username\Desktop\ where 'username' is your computer user name) and delete it.  This places the file in the recycle bin, beyond the reach of the uninstaller.  Next go to your control panel and uninstall FE.  Go to the recycle bin; restore the 0.86 installer; connect to the internet; in run mode return to the directory where the installer was originally located and run it.  Remember it will take about an hour to unzip, install and load FE.  I found it necessary to manually delete all saved 0.91 game files before I could load a 0.86 game.  Congratulations you have reloaded 0.86 and can now go back to playing the game the way it should be played.

What exactly do you think is better in 0.86 than 0.91?

Why should anyone do this? The last build is so much better. Why should anyone play without all the faction differentiation they have done? The roaming monsters from the last build are great too. Not to speak about hundreds of fixed bugs and all the balancing.

If 0.86 is your game? Great. Have fun with it. You are lucky, you don´t have to wait until fall. But don´t pretend Derek and the team did anything wrong or at least, say something useful and explain what you mean.

I have a post elsewhere which explains my dislike for 0.91.  I miss General Corrodius as an opponent.  I like my forests dark, deep and impenetrable.  The new scout ability make walks through the forest the same as a walk through a grassy field.  I miss the several things previously available early in the game: free resource builds, 3 move units, the Aura of Commerce spell, having lots of guildar.  I find I would rather do housework than play 0.91.  On the other hand, I do enjoy 0.86 despite all its problems.

And thats all? Ok, in this case I would say housework is really the better option for you. :)  I mean...really. For example Derek reasonable explained, why they removed two faction. Only because they changed or removed little things that you liked, you ignore all the great things they have done so far in 0.912? You are kidding? Right? Or it is just internet drama...

Okay, so maybe you like slumming.  I personally don't like being poor; not even in a a fantasy.  It is a real drag.  After a couple turns without money I find myself vacuuming the back bedroom or making a pork roast.  I am eating well and my apartment is cleaner than it has been in long time, but that doesn't speak well for 0.91.

You really have enough options in game to make gildars. Raise taxes, research something for gildars in the civ.tree or grap loot and sell it. There are so many ways to make gildars...

You go make your gildars your way and I'll make them my way.  That way we will bpth be happy.  Hope you enjoy 0.91.  I will be enjoying 0.86.

well. in .86 defense armor weak or suck, but it's so much better for fighter and warrior but however for mage, not so great due limited choice of spell or spell you had limited to none and very limited mana in early of game.

0.91 has mages as buildable unit - - ummm yeah - that's all I needed to know 0.91 for the win.

I too like more gilders - but playing with the taxes and having to manage the economy adds to the game a in my opinion

You realize you can mod a number of values in the game and give yourself more gildar? If you're interested I can give you some of these options...

are you sure? because I did build mage in .86 and they are petty good, though there is bug way they throw fireball, if ice, still look like fireball, but .90 and .91 I found them to be less useful than .86 and more annyod, still bug there, though.

This is a beta. The whole point is to test it and give feedback. There is no point in rolling back to a previous version. Kinda defeats the purpose of beta

If you want to have fun and have more fun playing an earlier build, go for it I say. The game will continue to move forward.

What are you doing to be poor?  I have found that there is not much difference between the two versions in this reguard.

Yep, but problem is that some version, some people like old but want some new add while some want that but keep old but other don't want new but keep new way, kind of hard to understand. ah well.

Let said verson "A" "A" had a wall with archer but no tower, it's seem good to had wall with archer but bad if no tower, but "B" is upgrade, now new tower, but wall without archer due some think archer is too overpower, LOL, something like that.
