Beta support should cost less.

If Stardock want to encourage more support then they should drop the price of beta support.

They could give 2 options.

1- Pay full price and get access to the beta, plus full game on release, a badge next to your name, and a load of digital junk.

2- Reduced price will get you beta support and the full game on release.

 

This must be the first time Stardock has done this beta support thing, because they don't seem to know how it is done. ;)

Well I figure if StarDock felt they needed more beta people, they would lower the price, or give away some beta space for free to lure customers in, I think they know what they are doing :D
Right now it seems as a way to purchase the game, and still have a word of interest if the devs tend to agree you can make a difference to the game in the end.

I don't think they need to include anything, I come to a hard time trying to wonder why people want more than just the game because they have the privilege to play the game before release...

Thats is the reason I haven't said anything yet :P...

I don't think that they necessarily needed beta testers, a game is never short of volunteers for this job.

More like the beta support, is to help fund the project while gaining players and fans that might otherwise lend their loyalty to another game of this type not too far from completion.   ;P

 

Anyway I think they should give the option to buy into the beta at a reduced price, in order to capture a wider audience and not just die-hard fans.

I think that statement sums it all up.  If you want the game, buy the game. If you want to play with it while they work out the bugs and add more things to it, pre-purchase it before release.

Why should they sell it for less or give things away for people to have the privilege of playing a game before the release? Now if they wanted to make people feel 'special' for buying ahead of time, sure give them access to special avatars for the forum or maybe a special DLC item... but those usually get out into the mainstream eventually anyway. 

Quite frankly, I have the original Elemental. I'll likely get the fallen enchantress as well as it IS a good game.  Just haven't decided to get the per-purchase yet. 

 

Besides, SINS rebellion takes up a chunk of Elemental's time! B)

Yes, they do gave lot of free one who order before dec, in my case, I don't get free even though it's only 2-3 month away  of that date before get free, I get 10% off, not much, but I guess its better than full picre.

Bought it anyway, couldn't resist.

I have to say I am well impressed, and so far, I have only played the tutorial. :)

The look, feel and atmosphere of the game are really amazing.  Looks like it was money well spent.
