Is there a manual anywhere?

I bought FE yesterday and I have serious trouble to control the game because I cannot find any manual or a simple list for the current control settings besides of the Stupid Questions Thread. But it don't answer all my questions:

- How do I rotate the map?

- How do I research spells?

- Are there only 3 tech research categories or do I miss something?

A complete list of shortcuts/keybindings would be really very helpful.

Hope someone could answer my questions.

everything has already been answered on these forums, please make yourself at home :)

- try using the middle mouse button

- there are very few shortcuts (b build, t train, espace stop walking, tab next unit, no shortcut for next city though, enter next turn - there are only a few more)

- you DO NOT research spells in FE

- there are "only" three research categories all right, and it is plenty enough IMHO

What sort of snarky answer is that? There is a serious lack of documentation and the documentation that exists is out of date and likely copy and pasted from WoM.Its hard to test for balance and transcription bugs when you dont know the intended value of something.

An example just from yesterday - where can you find a complete listing of the differences between the races? OR my favorite - where do they clearly tell users that the beta is online all the time and sends data to stardock without your knowledge.

You absolutely do research spells in FE but one primarily gain spells automatically by leveling up your skill in the various magic schools. Spells can be researched in the magic tree. They are also found from quests and on monsters. There are only 3 research paths. The only shortcut key I use is ctr-N which reloads a new map with your last settings.

If you haven't played War of Magic (which most folks here have) then it could be abit confusing. Theres a tutorial in the main menu and when you're playing a game,  do you see that little question mark in the upper right corner?  Click it, it is full of information about the game.   Come back here with any other questions you may have.

Come on, its still in Beta how can you demand a manual when the game changes so much between patches >_>
