[.90] Mage bug and Army management fiascos

1) There's still some buggy animation for ranged magic basic attacks that you get from fire/ice/etc staves.  The projectiles will fly in from the side of screen instead of from the attacker.

2) Defeated armies still sometimes leave their image on the strategic map (you can't select them; they're effectively dead, it just looks like they are still there).

3) DEAR LORD please make it easier to split up armies.  The little "eject" arrow on the army screen doesn't seem to do anything anymore, and selecting units individually and r-clicking somewhere else to move them out seem to do something different every time.  Sometimes it will move the unit, sometimes it will keep it in the same tile but remove it from the army, sometimes it will remain in the army but alter the army's image on the strategic map.  Splitting/combining armies in a reliable fashion has been an issue since WoM.  Please please please - fix this.

4) Maybe I'm missing it, but is there a way to "train up" units from one size to another.  That is, if I have a "Squad" of 3 militia and then I get access to "Company," is there a way I can maybe station the stack in a city and choose to train the Squad up to Company?

More bugs and grievances to come, I'm sure, but daaaaaaammmmmn this is a HUGE improvement over [.86].  Keep it up!

End of quote

There is sort of a converse variant on this one that's also annoying. If you attack a tile that has several independent armies stacked in it and you defeat the first one, the next one in the stack often does not get visualized in the tile on the strategic map. You might see the enemy faction icon hovering over the tile and you might notice your pointer toggle to the combat graphic as you mouse over the tile. In other words, there are hints.

Or you might not notice and right click on what looks like an empty tile only to find that you've blundered into combating another army. Hope you were prepared for that.

Laesta, i have found in that situation that when you click on the map tile the army on the top of the stack shows itself properly - it's irritating that you have to manually "jiggle" it but there it is 8C

I figured this out by getting into the habit of looking at what i was about to fight to see what kind of fight is was going to be like - sometimes the ai actually slips in some armoured troops and theni want my mage units involved in the battles
