In the older betas she did get the magic bow but in the new one she only have a shortbow.
This is correct. I moved the magical bows ability (which was +25% damage vs beasts) to Irane's Hunter ability (and upped it to +50% damage vs beasts) so that she gets it with whatever weapon she uses.
The problem with having her start with a cool weapon is that she didn't have much room to upgrade. Getting a new bow through shopping, quests or loot is fun, so I start her with something worse so she can upgrade. And since she keeps that anti-beast ability through the upgrades it works ut best for everyone.
I'm very supportive of this change. It still would be cool for soverigns to start with good equipment, but that would eliminate the joys of finding/buying/getting awesome new loot.
