[Suggestion] Outposts
Playing the beta I noticed that outposts are a bit dull, yes they help you reach certain resources, but other than that they don't really add anything else to the game, they don't block enemy movements, they don't have maintenance costs (at least i think so
)etc etc..
what if they worked somehow similiar to Galactic Civilization starbases? perhaps you could decide to build military outposts, trade outposts, and so on, for example you could start with a basic military outpost that gives a +5% defense to troops stationed there, then with level 2 (reached using pioneers and the available tech) you could have an outpost that gives you +10% defense on that tile and a +5% on adjacent tiles and so on (each level may have a higher cost to mantain, and they may be limited by the number cities in your empire, techs or both); the same for trade outpost, they may give you +0,1 | +0,05 gildars per resource to a maximum of +0.2 then for each level you will have a 2x, level one: 0,2, level two: 0.4, level three: 0.8 and so on until you reach a level cap.
I don't know if this is the right subforum to post about it or if somebody already wrote something similiar, if i did a mistake sorry (also if the english is bad)
