This game could use a game timer
What do you guys think. Maybe a little timer on the right side of the Bottom UI that gives us the game time. This could easily be used as a learning tool to help out newer players also.
Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Monday, June 29th and we will be returning on Monday, July 6th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.

Agree. I'd love to see 'time elapsed' somewhere (as an optional setting maybe) on the UI. I know it keeps track of it since it shows the elapsed time at the end of the game.
+1 i would love this
Yes, would be useful.
Right now I just time it off of autosave ticks - every 15 minutes....
Rather not. I don't want to think too much about my level of Sins addiction...
I want a game timer, as well, please.
if it's optional?
ya, i currently time stuff via autosaves. a timer might be nice, but i would perfer other features first. (even premade maps, player rating system...)
^ This. Though if we get a timer it should be an optional feature that could be turned on or off.
Well it is optional in SC2 I dont see why not on here.
But then I would be forced to comes to terms with how much time I spend playing this game....
It certainly couldn't hurt to add it. Civ games have it and they're comparable timesinks.
Bump for Devs.
I'm not sure...
I kinda like turning on my 2nd screen to check the time and go "ohfuck.. it's 03:00 >.<"
Anyway, SIGNED! would be useful
This has been asked for many times before. It would be invaluable tool to figure out how you are doing.
I came to this realization after analyzing an auqia replay heavily.
I've been using the autosaves as a timer too! Especially now that mine autosaves every 1'40"! (Mine used to be every 5 minutes)! Are the more frequent autosaves a feature of Rebellion?? (To check the time after an autosave notice, hit menu, load game, switch to autosave list, and look at time on the top/last autosave, then just exit back out to the game).
But I too would really like an on-screen timer. Like the replay clock/timer.
It would make a good benchmark, especially if we start to get some youtube tutorials up to help newer players we can give them a rough estimate about the times that they should use.
I don't know I am excited for this I hope we get a dev response that won't tell us this will be a DLC.
