The mod isn't a miracle, keep in mind it's just me doing 95% of the stuff. So take that into account before you expect too much. XD

Everything is rigged to the same skeleton, lower bodies use the monster skeletons instead (the hybrids are effectively permanently mounted on their lower body). Animations are slightly modified in some places, but mostly I just used what was already in game. It's not perfect. Far from it. But it works well enough considering I'm the only one doing 3d stuff at the moment.

Sorry for the questions. I'm still not really getting how you managed to get hybrids into the game. Short of creating and rigging your own models, even if you're reusing the ones in FE and even if the game supports having multiple skeletons (for upper and lower body animation) you'll need to somehow export and stitch the meshes together so they look consistent. 

(PS, the original post was in another thread but I thought my follow up would be more appropriate here..)

Yes (I re-used them) and Yes (although there are models that aren't from stardock as well). It's actually really obvious if you look at the centaur model, which was my first "stitching" and thus the ugliest. I combined the use of this fixed point with the fact that the animations for those riding mounts are really discrete in its movements - essentially the root joint barely moves.

Hey Hf, what do you think about making a werewolf model? There is that fairly rare hirsute unit called a Krigoth. Take off the horns and protrude the face a little. Bam! Werewolf.

That would be something for MA I think, total immunities just don't work in the vanilla game.

Total immunity against physical attack damage for 3 actions. I meant "doesn't work" in the sense that the AI doesn't understand it.

What are the strengths of this mod? I find the vanilla game lacking in both diversity and strategy. It seems like building a city is such a bland experience, with workshops here and clerics there, all with minor effects. Very few buildings do something "cool". Combat is also kinda bland in vanilla, your units all look same-y and when zoomed out you can hardly tell them apart. Does this mod correct those things?

diversity gets a big boost, the number of civs is more than doubled and they're all different fantasy races. the gameplay is the same though, give Master's Affliction a try if you want an overhaul.

No, this mod is not aimed at reconfiguring the game like that. Try Master's Affliction.

This mod only serves to add additional high fantasy elements into the game - fantasy races, rivers of magma, 100 new magical items and so on.
