I don't know if this idea has been discussed before, but I thought I'd mention if it hasn't.
While I'm currently enjoying FE and always like trying out beta games, FE's stability for me has been less than stellar. And since the entire point of a beta program is to allow fans to get a sneak peek and flush out bugs, wouldn't it be nice if FE could automatically report itself when it failed?
Now clearly it can't auto-report bugs that are not crashes, as it won't know what the correct behavior is supposed to be. But the game isn't supposed to crash under any circumstances. Therefore, it would seem simple enough for some kind of monitor to do a post-mortum and submit the last save, the error log, and the crash dump.
While I understand that these are all done now manually, I think an automated process would be better for both players and developers going forward. Players wouldn't need to do extra work every time it crashes, they could just jump right back in. And developers would have a regular stream of crash reports collected in a standardized fashion.
Thoughts?
