[0.86] Last minute thoughts

Ive been playing the Elemental beta with great joy the last couple of days (stupid game is stealing all my time xD)

And I have seen some thing I like, and some things I find really out of place.

Snake overland movement:
Going to start saying the 2 special snake hiring options that are available to a certain race with a certain trait (my brain makes the name extremely vague when i want to talk about them ofc!). If you get to hire these snake creatures, and move them around on the overland map, they move Extreeemeeeely slow. So I would suggest you guys would test all the unit models for a sec, see which moves how fast on both the overland map, and in the tactical combat map, and even out the speeds. - or ask your community to find such weirdances in speed ;) you have a ton of ppl ready to do these things for u im sure.

Hero Attributes:
I seem to upgrade strength on every hero so They can carry they're items, most items seems so heavy compared to what strength I get my mage heroes with.
Strength seem the most important stat to all melee characters, since Dexterity doesnt change much, the chances for a hero with 20 dexterity is still soooo low, would also like to know if the crit chance I gain from dexterity and daggers are % or how they work, want abit more transparency on these subjects).
Intellect does nothing but change the spells (On the tooltip it says it modifies Experience gained, but I can see no visible change).
Constitution seems to give SOO little, I mean +2 constitution gives me 1 hp, and +2 strength gives me +1 melee damage, and some more carry weight, so is this stat secretly doing something else, or am I mistaken in Constitution being worthless?.

Custom units Attributes:
When building units, In the army designer, it seems that Dexterity is even more useless for units since they do not get the critical chance, Why is it I am awarded for building an army of clumsy clutz? Usually trading dexterity for constitution and for strength, then trading constitution for strength since it seemingly is the only attribute worth mentioning >_<. Would also like to see some more / different traits available to units.

 

Saving some Gas to last, since these subjects seem to be less talked about here on the forum.

- Note, I cant see the "March 14 quickie video" at this point, so can't see if they decided to modify any of these subjects, so if they are, consider them a praise to the devs xD.

had some more subjects come to mind:

Pioneer design:
Why cant players design pioneer units (like if i want to give them a horse, or the scout ability, or a huge suit of armor).

Travelling with army and heroes.
Somehow it feels like a waste to put in army units with my sovereign/other heroes due to a massive penalty to experience gained, (especially if i travel with pioneers, they decrease overall xp, and gain a cut too for some reason, and they cant use levels for anything when buildign new cities), I understand why heroes should divide up experience, and why a hero should gain less experience if travelling with an army, but the dividation (spelling and grammar aside xD) it seems like a complete waste for me to safeguard my heroes with other units, because then my heroes will gain only some insignificant amount of experience each combat.

Experience and experience granting buildings:
I think you should multiply all experience by 4 or so, that would make "Warlord" (sovereign ability) work much better, and the buildings you can put in cities work much smoother (Instead of having 25% chance to give 1 xp each turn, it would just be 1 xp each turn) - also some more proper buildings for governor units, I tried using the xp building to level up a governor, and its RUBBISH, even tho the governer was my sovereign, with warlord ability, when my main heroes was lvl 7, she was still lvl 3 even after countless turns with the bonus xp building.

Tooltips out of sync:
I dunno about these items, but I see some tooltips not work together with the same descriptions of the same ability, are these things I should jog down in a document and post up here, or are you aware of all these little mishaps?.

- Ps, hopes to see a better faction leader creation UI, and faction creation UI. And most tooltips dissapear after 1 second of showing up, Anyone know a good program to fraps my computer to show some bugs visually?.

Also, would be nice to see some more map creation options, like "how much land/water on the map", and more map sizes, and "How many random heroes on the map".

Would also be nice to have some lategame solution to heroes battlewound, so I could treat some significant nerf to my heroes, like my main "barbarian" style hero getting 15% penalty to str. So some kind of sick bay for the poor smuck - This would save me alot of stress saving/loading because heroes in no way is in a position to day, and everything dies if a bird squeeks with the wrong sounds >_<. (Carefull, forest is full of bears, and you didnt find a shield yet!!)
