[0.86] [UI suggestion] Control of multiple Army stacks on the strategic map. Currently too chaotic.

When there are multiple army stacks on the strategic map with moves left, the control is chaotic when:

                Two armies combine.

One of your armies attack an enemy.

After the said action, the UI can take control of an army not involved with the action.  This forces me to zoom and reselect the previous army.  It would be nice if the last army to have an acted would stay selected when it can still act.

Deselecting the "Auto Select Next Unit" in the game options might help avoid that.

We need a button on the UI to get to the next unit that has moves.

Agree, at the least we need to know easily how many armies are stacked. The AI stacks like 3-6 mostly identical armies.

While a button would be nice I think pressing spacebar does this.

Spacebar skips the turn of the currently selected unit, iirc

And I don't like shortcuts (unless for Enter = end of turn), I prefer something that can be played only with mouse (so I can drink a beer while playing :-P).

I think certain games did it well where you click on the tile and it tells you the armies that are on the tile.

First you click on the tile, and move soldiers from one army to another, then you select an army and go! :)

also maybe something simple like the comma or period button on a keyboard could move to next unit with moves left.

Pressing tab selects the next unit with moves left.

I play with auto select next unit and auto turn both off (mostly to avoid hangs on XP) and tabbing does select the next unit with moves, while space skips the unit's turn and enter ends the turn.  It would be nice to have a method of combining two armies on the same space.  Right now you have to move one army to another square, then move the other into it to combine.  Didn't WoM have this option?

I don't know how anyone could play with auto-select next unit on.  It's infuriating.

Tab does the trick, though there should likely be a UI button as well for those that don't know the hot keys.

Didn't know I could turn auto-select next unit off.

I move a pioneer to the tile I want. Sudden pop. I'm now looking at another of my units on another part of the map. Argh!!
