This is beginning to crash for me as much as EWOM used to. The game seems stable on small maps but the large map is really bad, especially as the game develops.
I'm seeing the same thing in late game large maps. Slowing down significantly as well.
For me the crashing seemed to increase when the AI and I were taking a resource back and forth. IE I was rebuilding while he was destroying it.
Aye, switched to medium maps here myself; my system doesnt seem to be able to handle large maps. Still plenty of crashes on medium maps too. I just hit the send button on the ms crash reporter everytime faithfully... ![]()

What kind of hardware do you have that is causing the slowdown?
My hardware is Core2 Duo 3 GHz and 4 GB RAM running Win 7 64.

Brad - saves, dmps, and debugs are in the emails attached to the ticket id's I posted. All emailed to [email protected].
As of this posting there are 39 unique emails I sent (39 separate crashes) of which all of them have the saves, debugs, and dmps (if created). Also posted the ticket id auto-generated in the Stardock reply.
Have you been able to watch your resources using task manager, procmon, or perfmon? I'm curious what resource is getting blasted.
Haven't really looked into that much. I have brought up task man at the very end to see memory usage and it maxes out about 1.5 GB.
