Ignys are rated as Strong (just one), however looking at their stats, and how easily they are beaten, should only be either weak or at the most medium.
Bears are always rated as weak, however given their maul ability, they shuold be rated as at least medium.
Agreed on bears. Igny's tho... they've got a ton of armor (resistance?), taking only about 1/4 - 1/3 the damage a soft target (such as a bear) would take.
Also, they are immune to fire, which negates my usual fire-spell fallback when I'm losing a fight.

Yeah, I'm actually at work now posting on what I was noticing on the weekendplaying .85. 
I never seem to have any trouble with the ignys. They only have 10 def, so even with 2 spearman (really low tech + no defense), they drop easily.
I love finding ignys, one of the few easy to kill monsters that still gives good exp.
I agree with you Rhadagast.... but in fairness, should be dropped to a more reasonable XP amount (which as of .85 is based on threat level, .86 also includes number of enemies too).
ignis are in the patch note as nerfed, they probably forgot to change the threat level, and yeah ofc they are pretty weak even in a stack they should be around bear threat
