same old complaints, when they going to be fixed?

being able to scroll through or look at cities on level up.

being able to cycle through cities in the details screen.

building custom factions or at least being able to see the race traits for a race while selecting/building a monarch.

Really there is still a lot of UI work to be done. The AI is better but I feel like half the time I'm going into every game blind unless I memorize the race traits and the city management is still a pain in the ass and a bit obscure. Starting position can be the death of you also, no tiles that can support a city=no expansion for you!

The game is improving, and can be addicting, but its still......awkward to play.

End of quote

Well, that's part of the fun, you know. Ever played XCOM? Ever heard of plasma barrage?
The game shouldn't aways let you start in a good position. If you are unhappy about where you start, quit and start again. Or ask for an option, like a easy mode where you just start in easy locations.

About the UI, I can't talk about. Grabbed the beta today(pre order).

In a post frrom Brad i read that you don“t have to start new. Just hit ctrl + N and you got a new map. Its very usefull...

Fair enough on the starting position, yes I played and loved xcom, nothing like having a sectoid throw a grenade into your deployment area. The UI issues though...the game is going for a specialize your city, plan ahead feel. For that, you really need the tools that ease that by giving you information when it is needed. When I have a city level up and:

1. I can't compare it to my other cities

2. I can't see my current resource gain/loss overall

3. I can't see city details to see which direction of specialization might most benefit the city

it somewhat defeats the purpose of encouraging specialization.

As an added annoyance why doesn't the ledger screen list the amount of production a city generates? I can see the gold it makes and the production bonuses it has, but I can't see the raw number. Sometimes I want to know who can build something the fastest and who is getting the most benefit from resources without having to go into every individual city screen. I understand that the developers want the game to be about making large policy choices rather than micromanaging, but don't deny me the ability to see the information without hassle.
