[AI] noticed the AI spams a lot of marginal troops and gets stomped that way

.86 is a huge improvement over .85.

That said, I noticed the AI spams a ton of units at you- often of marginal quality.  It's almost farming for XP.  Reminded me of GalCiv II some.

You know it's the same person doing the AI!

You get the bulk of the factions units once you/he declares war, and then a constant flow of attacks from his cities.

Ya an annoying flaw

AI armies always have scouts and pioneers in them

AI only ever has a mage Sov, all champions are warriors. Lack of good mages makes em weak too

Are they all female?

wasnt like that for me tbh

all armies were good balanced usually 1 2 champions with 2 3 archer and couple of melee

so id say nearly perfect

i dunno what game you played but in my game this wasnt even remotely true

ai sent to me very good army it basically prevent my attacks for a long time since i could really abandon the cities with my champions until i researched the good stuff (and created them ofc)

all parties were balanced and there were always champions (not so good tbh)

since the game lasted too long in the end his sovereign was very strong, nearly as strong as mine and he was basically unkillable for anyone by my sovereign (unless ofc taken with a larger army)

when i started to capture the first towns i had huge problems since i couldnt really defend, i had to split all my champions to try and defend all cities but wasnt really possible since not all champions were good at that

The AI hardly ever uses his spammed small units for defending his cities. Often they will be sitting in a square adjacent to the city.

I wonder if the AI is getting messed up by newly built units getting ejected in really bad map squares? Its super annoying for me as a player, probably the AI doesn't deal with it well.

Wonder if a quick change to the game, where newly built units stay in their city, would solve more than one problem.

And have the title Spear Maiden?

Oh god, I really hope this isn't my fault...  If so, I'm really sorry guys- that's a custom unit I used in one of my earliest games.

One issue that I see is that newly built units appear outside the city. It would be better if new units appeared in the city they were built in.

Seriously is no one else but me and Alstein noticing that pioneers, scouts, peons, etc are all female units? The AI is obviously prioritizing female units for some reason. Maybe it's the weakness trait as well but that doesn't explain the spear maidens I don't think.
