[.85 BUG] Brad, I'm noticing the AI miss a lot of goodie huts in .85

I don't remember that happening in .77

Yep me too, I found around 3 - 4 goodie huts near Magnar's capital alone. One was right next to it.

This was a problem in .77 too.  I've had a free library, cobwebbed houses and elemental lairs left with free goodies...

It's strategy now actually

I keep some lairs around too spawn more guys and get the exp

The AI does need to stop you from just taking them though

I am too.

The issue seems to be that they're not really goodie huts. They're monster lairs. I'm not sure what type of object that is (code wise).

Perhaps the AI is lair farming? Usually doesn't take that many turns before a new mob will spawn at some locations. ^_^
