Suggestion: new spell: Dark Simulacrum

Currently, XP playes a major role in endgame- The added health and stats makes units a lot stronger, and is important for champions to be useful.

As the only decent way to gain XP so far is battle, it led me to this spell.

Name: Dark Simulacrum

Target: Caster's Army

Cost: 100 mana

Available via: A researched tech.

Description: A simulacrum of the army appears and attacks it immediately (without the caster). Defending army has an initiative bonus.

This spell is used for training your own troops- giving them real combat, your troops has two advantages: While defending, it has initiative bonus and all of the city's bonuses (if inside one). The second is that the caster not being replicated, giving them a numerical advantage.

Note: Dead units stay dead, they are not illusions in that regard.

An original idea but I don't see it happening because it slows down games (as opposed to an XP giving Spell), you can lose troops and to be honest combat isn't that fun. 90% of people wont want to spend mana to fight unless theres a chance for loot or just rediculous exp.

End of Stupidity10's quote

When fighting, you only gain meaningful xp against equal or greater foes, and in most of these cases many of your units die. Because the spell will make you fight a nearly identical army, your units will get quite a lot of exp. The spell is meant to also pose a threat to the unwary, as not to be abused. Also, it gives additional reason to buff city defenses- a well protected city will mean that casting this spell will pose a small threat while still giving a lot of exp.
