I just started playing the FE Beta this week... I know I don't have a lot of spare time.
Anyway, how do I flee battles now in FE? I couldn't see anything about it in the Hiergarmanonphenomenon.
you can't
There is a spell you can research called Escape, from the Book of Winds. It ends the tactical combat immediately.
Or the Escape scroll which you can use (should really send you to capital as it says but it doesn't in 0.77, and also uses mana which it shouldn't).
Oh... no wonder I couldn't find it in the help.
There should be a flee ability for assains that just removes the assasin from combat. With some kind of condition (Higher movement than enemies) or multi turn cooldown.
