I'm getting the "login failed" message after the last crash. Entering my Elemental/Stardock login/password isn't working. I've tried both my login handle and my email address, and neither is working.
Ditto. Running 0.75. Only difference is that I quit the game normally, rather than crashed, and cannot restart.
I've been having this problem consistently for the past 30 minutes or so, roughly. It happened roughly in time with a short downtime on the website, so I'm assuming they're having server problems.
Same problem here. Looks like a DRM-type failure.
Hopefully this will not be an issue with the "retail" game. I hate phone-home DRM; particularly in single-player only games!
I finally managed to uninstall and reinstall the game, but I'm still getting this error. Running as administrator doesn't help.
This is for the beta only. Non-beta patches only DRM when the patch is installed, after that you can run the game without an internet connection.
The reason given for having the DRM in the beta is because it allows them to change XML values on the fly.
Why are you not running .77 ? you are missing out on the latest version and therefore not getting a full picture of what has channged.
There is only one beta install, 0.75. To get to the latest version you need to download the latest "Beta Update" from the Stardock page and run it to update the base "Full Beta" installation.
