[Exploit] AOE spells cripple multi-square bosses

This is probably known already, but AOE spells or spells that affect the entire enemy army (E.G. Wither) basically cripple enemies that take up multiple squares. None of the green-location-based-faction bosses I faced in a recent game posed any difficulty because of their multi-squares. Go into the fight, cast Wither then cast Mass Curse, and suddenly I'm up against an enemy with -27 dexterity and about 10 strength, a negative dodge rating and 0 defense. This was further compounded when dropping a Fireball on them could cause upwards of 150 damage as it dealt damage to each individual square of the boss-monster.

Edit: For some reason I put 'hexes' instead of 'squares'. Just an example of me being a bit stupid at times.

This is a big issue.  The number of times a big boss should be affected by the same spell is 1 at the most.

Compounded by the issue that theres no way to defend against those spells. Spells like wither and mass curse that target all enemy units cannot be resisted and neither can Dmg spells.

A successful 'shrink' also turns these bosses into kittens. The spell itself is resisted often enough (at least from low-level champs - by 30+ intelligence not so much), but if you've got Sculla's mace, which casts the spell on every successful hit, you've pretty much guaranteed a shrink.

It's weird how some spells are resistible and others aren't. There totally needs to be monsters that are virtually immune to physical attacks and then others who are totally immune to magical ones (and probably a few that have almost both).

Right now, do fireballs hit a monster taking up 4 squares 4 times? AoE damage spells are probably the only ones I could think that viably could/should hit multiple times, but other spells like wither, mass curse, etc. are silly effecting in more than once. It must be targeting the squares instead of the units themselves.
