Poll: Please post your # of starting civs for the different map sizes.

I think that on the beta game I played last night the default map was medium with 2 opponents.  That made for  a very lonely game.

So I ask, for each of the map sizes, how many opponents do you think is optimal?  Also how many allied (empre, kingdoms) vs how many "opposing".

Example:

Small 2 Opponents (1 Allied, One Not Allied)
Medium  4 Opponents (2 Allied, 2 Not Allied).
Large 7 Opponents (3 Allied 4 Not allied)

For me I can't seem to get hte number right so I want to see what other pepole think!

I go for 4 enemies with no teams on medium maps

I tried putting every pre-made nation in with my created faction on a large map, but it seemed like too much and too crowded.  Now, I tend to go with Large 2 allies/4 enemies.  As long as the bears aren't committing genocide on the AI players, its fine.  Last game, they killed 5 of the 6 AI players in the first 100 turns.  I assume it was the bears because of how evil bears are.

Yea, no teams, I meant 2 same faction, 4 opposite faction.

1 same faction, 3 opposite for a small map.  So far this keep's at least most of the factions safe from the bear apocalypse.
