Will Champion vs. Army XP gain difference be removed?

Do people know if the artificial divide between how much experience a champion compared to an army unit gets will be removed?  For example, I think currently army units, in the same fight get less XP than champions/sovs in the same fight.  Will this be changed when XP gets split evenly between all surviving winners?

I think Armies should if anything, get MORE experience.

Or maybe it should be split, Armies get more XP when fighting armies/darklings/wildmen.  Champions get more xp when fighting monsters.

Are you talking about Int bonuses because the more Int a unit is the more exp it gets.If so then no I really doubt it.

Also devs have said champions will no longer share exp in the next patch.

Armies getting experience is actually a huge balance issue, only it's not apparent right now. But if you remove champions from the game, the problem with leveling up units is that they gain a lot of stuff from it. First, they gain a lot of extra health, like 30-40% per level. And they also gain magic resistance, and accuracy. As if that wasn't enough, they ALSO gain more strategic health regeneration. So the risk of giving army units too much xp is they become steamrollers VERY quickly against other army units. But again, we're not seeing this currently, since champions just stomp everything anyway.

Yes, because Con bonuses apply for *every unit in the army stack*, whereas Champions only get an HP level-up increase for 1 unit.  Once champions don't get as much bonus when people are stacking them, it is possible that army stacks will become a lot more competitive.  Heavenfall, are you saying you'd still like champions to get more experience from the split they get (ie. as currently)?  If so, I think I'd probably agree with you.

All I'm saying is that you can't just up the army experience gained like this. It will make them more durable towards champions, yes, but it will completely offset the balance between everything else, like monsters and other army units.

So you're saying that probably XP should be divided up equally to all survivors of a battle, champion/sov or army stack.  I think that would be good and fairly balanced, although we could test it. =)

Brad/Derek, would you be able to allow us to test each unit, whether champion or army stack, gets an equal split for surviving and winning a combat?  (Before the increase of XP by Intelligence stat.)

Problem I see with 'dividing' exp between survivors is this penalizes people for using army units. If my army units are going to drain from my Sov/Champs leveling, then why would I bother? Aside from having monster/quest respawns to keep a player from intentionally gimping himself (having a lot of weak low level units due to stacking and not thinking through, "this divides xp and is disadvantageous to me in the long run.")

Will say that army units are the true delayed gratification units. Champions you get to see pretty direct results of your focus on leveling them. Your army, you're happy if they survive an auto-battle, forcing you to do manual combat so to prevent them from dying off too quickly.

Blocking units from getting quest xp would be a good idea too.
