[Bug] Defend now needs a target, causes pause, doesn't wear off

Since patch .77, the defend effect now wants you to target it, displaying an area of effect targeting grid like the one for Blizzard. If you click on the casting unit reapeatedly, it will eventually cast after a longish pause. The effect does not appear to consistently wear off with the unit's next movement.

From what I've noticed, is that if I use defend, on a mounted unit/champion, there is about a 20 second lag, before it continues on. I see the same targeting grid you are refering to, but it goes away on it's own. There is a small lag on non-mounted units, but consistantly a 20 second+ lag once on a horse/warg.

yeah.. when not mounted.. it's fairly quick.. you get the shield immediately.. but it sort of looks like it doesn't wear off (or gfx not disappearing) until that character's next move ends? (or i might have misremembered)

I have a separate post about this, it's specific to mounted champions, and it's just a long pause.  It looks like other things, cause you try to do stuff while it's paused, but it's just about 20 pause after you click on the defend button.  It you just wait, or don't use defend it works, but 20 seconds is long enough so it really feels broken.
