[.77] trolls? who gets to recruit them?

stupid question

from Elemental Forums

um... i had a look with a custom empire faction in .76... it says it's not for my faction..

a cursory look at a bunch of random kingdom faction... in .77 doesn't seem to show anything about trolls in research tree (could have missed something)

a look at the lore help thingy shows it's for kingdoms and a tech called wildland allies is needed, but i can't say i can see it in the few pre-made kingdom factions that i looked at. a quick look at faction creator doesn't show any boxes for trolls.. just a box for snakes

Most forums are recruited on the forums. I don't know about in the game...

for empire, yes. i haven't seen it listed in a kingdom yet. just looked up another one (relias) ... not there.

Some tech are Empire only. Only Empires can recruit Trolls.

I don't think empire gets trolls either. The icon for the ogre tech is a troll but you can't actually get them.

..if you look at the tech called wildland allies in the lore help thingy, it says trolls for kingdom and ogres for empire.

 

except there's no such skill for kingdom (in the ones i peeked at)

 

or put another way. there's no point having lairs if no one ever gets to build on them.

I just came here to make the "trolls are recruited by the forums" joke; too bad Xan already botched it.
