[AI][Bad play][Bug][0.76] AI does not settle and is easily killed next to my capital (Turn 14)

In my game which I just started (AI level: challenging) the AI refused to settle (I could see, faction power 0) and went of wandering near my capital. My 2 heroes simply got at her and finished her of. Farewell kingdom of Pariden.

Brad I hope you read this and can take a look at this, here is a .rar with a couple of save games and debug.err

 

PS: I'm not too sure whether this belongs into Beta or Support, it's not REALLY a bug - I put it under bug nontheless

Not necessarily,  once i could not settle at my stating loc because I saw a 5/4 tile 3 squares away.  Before turn 2 another sov had founded his city 6 tiles away.  The same thing may have happened here.

to expand on what beardydan said. I had one map where I had to wander round for close to 20 turns before I found a spot I could settle. It had spawned me no where near fertile ground. This coulda happened to the ai as well.

I don't think that's *supposed* to happen. I seem to recall one of the devs mentioning that starting locations are supposed to be at least decent, which I would take to mean settleable.

Could be a world gen bug (or spectacularly bad luck)

That sounds pretty shitty and needs to be addressed.  If that's a feature, and not a bug, its a crappy one.

It's not a bug, not a feature, it's nothing - because AI almost do not exist :)
