[Suggestion]Always Show yields when hovering over "settle"

In my current game, when i am hovering over the settle button, i get the "you need food" tooltip. This is fine but it would be nice if the rest of the map still showed yields. In addition it would be nice to have an option to view the yields at any time and/or when a pioneer is selected (individually selected, not within a group of units).

Uhh what? The game shows the value of all the visable  (and beyond 7 squares of another city) tiles when you hover over the settle button. Even standing in the barren wasteland let me do this.

Even without hovering over settle (to plan out a game with easily available information without going through unneccessary UI-Hops)

Imo there should just be an option/overlay to show tile yields. Standard since Civ 1 / Mom. I see no need to deviate from that. The graphics are allready in. So why not have an extra tab / minimap-tab who does that... Yes tile tooltips does this but scanning all tiles can be tiresome... (fine for beta, doesn't feel alright for a finished product).

There are much bigger things though (Mostly OOM and crashes which are way less of a problem than in WOM but the most glaring thing around right now), lots to balance and polish.

Seconding CdrRogdan's "Uhh what?"... The game already has that option.

Granted, it's bugged (or at least it is for me) and stops showing the yields for tiles that aren't newly discovered. But it's there.

I don't know that it's buged. I read a dev saying that if the tile is too close to another city it won't bother showing you the yeild. aka, the game only shows you the yield of tiles that you can construct cities on.

Yes. Click the button at the top right of the screen just to the left of where the terrain information is shown. This will show you the total income your settlement will get for every settleable tile, if you choose to settle there.

Don't settle or anything less than a 4/3, You are worth it!  :thumbsup:

actually, there is supposed to be such an option (it's a tiny unmarked button in the upper right of the screen that also doubles as the place where it sometimes says "swamp" or "forest"), but clicking the button has almost no effect.  I say almost because if you clear a bandit lair or ruined caravan and click the button, sometimes you can see the yield on that one square.
