Never got an email. File isn't listed. I pre-ordered way back at PAX 09. So it seems beta is only for some pre-orders.
Dang but I want in! Turned to dust and lost to oblivion, have gone my thoughts of patiently awaiting till next thursday. :~p

I put in a support ticket because I don't know what email address to contact.
I'll be playing Tarth first! With a chaotic neutral approach. Then second playthrough I'll play them as a custom Empire faction. With the flavor of a brigand gang.
I think they might have some records to fix in their customer DB. For example I got the email in to address X. Elemental WoM is recorded in my Impulse account under address X, and the account itself is under address Y. The game is NOT listed under my games at stardock.com when viewing the account of address Y. In addition, there is no Stardock account for address X (the WoM account). Hence, I can't download the game, although I am qualified for the beta and even got the email.
So, I am waiting for support to answer my query about this issue. I am afraid that support of Stardock is a little busy at the moment...
I'm going with Procipinee of Pariden. I love strong magic, and the female characters are much nicer to look at (instead of those ugly men of Elemental. Can't we get same handsome males too?).
I believe I also started with Pariden in my first game of WoM.
Started playing, works like a charm so far!
Edit: And already loving it! 
Yeah, I preordered through Amazon, and it looks like I'm not in the first wave, either. Which is cool.
I mainly just wanted to look through the spell xml.
