Simple request
Can we have one-handed spears? I'm not a great history expert, but I tend to think that spear + shield was a pretty popular combination in warfare before the advent of gunpowder.
Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Monday, June 29th and we will be returning on Monday, July 6th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.

Don't be ridiculous. Spears are heavy and we are already paying our heroes and soldiers next to nothing. Now you want them to carry a shield too?
But seriously, it would take very little modding to make a polearm weapon class. The real question is how it would interact with the current weapon environment.
Yes, the Aiel from Wheel of Time! Three-fold-land, Way of the Leaf, People of the Dragon! They use spears and bucklers.
Yeah, it would be nice to have more historically accurate/practical weapons, instead of just swords and axes everywhere.
Then I want my sling, bola, and ballista! Talk about knockback power, an enchanted arrow on a ballista, there be nothing scarier!
What about roman empire shield 'turtle' formation? or Phalanx (massed polearms?) etc.
Spear and shield is the most common weapon/armor combo in all freaking history.
I agree with lord Xia, only country that don't use shield is the japanese. all other country use at least some form of shields.
Spear and shield sounds fine, but I want to dual-wield rabid cats.
Ha! And I suppose the next thing you'll ask for is a pony.
pony? my (little) pony! yes, yes, please.
