“The group known as Anonymous said Saturday it has hacked into some 70 law enforcement websites across the southern and central United States in retaliation for arrests of its sympathizers in the U.S. and Britain.

The hacking group also claimed to have stolen 10 gigabytes of data, including emails, credit card details, and other information from local law enforcement bodies.

"We are releasing a massive amount of confidential information that is sure to (embarrass), discredit and incriminate police officers across the US," the group said in a statement, adding that it hoped the leak would "demonstrate the inherently corrupt nature of law enforcement using their own words" and "disrupt and sabotage their ability to communicate and terrorize communities."

Anonymous' claims couldn't all be immediately verified, but a review of the sites it claims to have targeted — mainly sheriffs' offices in places such as Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Mississippi — showed that most were unavailable or had been wiped clean of content.” (AP)- MSNBC

Apparently it’s not so easy to catch these birds.

I wonder… apart from childish, angry behavior and showing an ability to compromise some penny ante sites, do they think the pursuit of the hacker group is going to stop?

I believe it’s delusional to believe that pouring gasoline on fires extinguishes them.

If ever Anonymous was going to do a public service, this is it.  The killing of Facebook, in my opinion, should result in a worldwide public holiday... a day off for everyone to celebrate the demise of an insidious POS that's corrupting the masses across nations.  No wonder the world is in economic chaos and the US' triple AAA credit rating went guts up... too many influential and important people have bee playing effing Farmville with real life properties and others life investments. 

For mine, that parasite Zuckerberg should be made ter walk tha plank, along with those effing Wall St bankers who treat other peoples cash like Monopoly money.

I wrote to Anonymous to see if they'd kill Google as well, but the reply was in the negatory because Google's is the search engine of choice when they're looking for another victim to hack.  According to the responder [who wished to remain anonymous], Google is an invaluable tool that gets them into a lot of places they'd otherwise not be able to crack... not that I give a rat's a...

No, there is the alternative, ask.com.... and whatever happened to 'ask and ye shall receive'?  I'm sure if Anonymous typed in the criteria for their next hack,ask-dot-com would oblige and return the desired results.  Yup, Anonymous, it's time to kill Google as well.

does anyone know the website for The Hacking Group Anonymous just curious as to how all the news/blog groups get their info.

I don't see the Anonymous would post or E-Mail them all ,, so where are they posting their Info at..

Welp. Good thing I don't put any info on Facebook that's not on public records anyway. Still though, I hope Anonymous succeeds. Facebook isn't exactly known for being good for privacy, but that's pretty fucking heinous.

Quite apart from Google's utility, they haven't really done anything even close to evil enough to merit destruction.

Anonymous' public releases are on youtube. Note the video in starkers' link, that's a pretty typical release. There's nothing much else. You could probably get a hint of information by hanging out on the right image boards and IRC channels, but to my knowledge no media source does that.

EDIT: Man, they needs to fix the way this forum handles quotes.

That's a matter of opinion... and like arseholes, everybody's got one.

I suppose it depends on one's definition of evil... because what does not classify as evil to one may clearly be evil to another.

In my [and others] definition of evil, Google's practices certainly come under the evil umbrella.

However, I am intolerant of Google's deplorable corporate behaviour... an evil that will become more evident to the more tolerant as time progresses.

Facebook is just as evil.  Hidden behind 'so-called' services is a covert agenda to make one man filthy stinking rich at others expense. 

If corporate culling were legal, Zuckerberg would be top of the list in the first round of kills, for mine... then those Google parasites.
