Task bar obscured - help!

I have installed several themes from Object Desktop, and somehow it has managed to alter the state of my windows when I maximise them. As I maximise them it obscures the task bar at the bottom of the screen.

This should not happen. Does anyone know how I can alter windows so that when they maximize they leave room for the task bar at the bottom?

right click on your taskbar for properties and check the "taskbar always on top" checkbox. not sure how it is called in English, but this should do the trick.
