Desktop Context Menu

First let me say "I love Object Desktop"!
Every week I'm showing the guys here in the office new things I've discovered.

What I haven't found, though, is a way to create a custom Desktop Context Menu.
Is there anything within OD that will let me do that?
It seems to me like there would be, but I haven't found anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
madwhit.

What is a "Desktop Context Menu"?

You mean change the appearance of it, or just make you're own one from scratch?

I am wanting to be able to add and remove menu items.
Maybe even have an alternate context menu if I click the desktop with the middle button.

Hmm sounds like something we could do with DesktopX. Dunno for sure though.

DX does use its own menu but I couldn't find a way to customize it.
I appreciate your help.
If I figure it out I'll let you know with a post.
If you ever come across a way to do it, please do the same.
Or maybe someone else knows and will post.

Thanks,
madwhit.

I'm not sure how practical this would be, but possibly solve this by creating a practically transparent object that covers the entire desktop, set it to be at the back, and then use a script to process the mouse clicks and pass through any you're not interested in to the "desktop".

Since I've not looked into scripting in DX too far, this may be pie in the sky...but it's sort of how a lot of apps that skin the desktop works, so it might have some milage in it.
