Are there sea creatures in FE?

Are there sea creatures in FE?

With all this talk of the "world" in FE, will the oceans actually be worth exploring and stuff?  Will there be rivers?

Yes; Fallen E. first, then improved dynasties and sea stuff, continued AI development and diplomacy improvements. Then some day we will have the best 4x game ever. One that won't be challenged for centuries to come, or at least won't be challenged until Elemental II sees the light of day.

Don't forget a supped up revamp on steriods for minor factions (hopefully bringin in all the d&d races that we all or at least most of us love & miss)

I don't remember where I read it (thought it was in the interview of Paxton by RPS but couldn't find the quote), but it's been confirmed that water gameplay won't be in Fallen Enchantress, at least not from the get go.

Minor factions would be a good thing to share an expansion with dynasties and navies. They won't be different races though, because that's not what the Elemental setting is. And that's fine. Not every game has to use the same few generic races.

Back in Medieval times water was not important and ships that sailed far enough would sail off the edge of the world so they just stopped making them entirely. Rivers were not researched by most kingdoms as they usually spawned in enemy territory anyways. There were rumors of older civilizations being able to transform their military units into boats at the touch of the sea in hopes of adapting to this predicament but public reception was mixed.

Well we already have trolls, dragons, drakes, elementals, demons, giant spiders and such (Just look how much more spice the game has with these alone), I thought it could be possible that the 'minor' factions (tribes, camps, villages, etc.) of (MANY) other well known (or not so well known) races that just weren't large/important enough to mention in the books would still exist in the world of elemental.  Having these others I believe would be welcomed by more people than than those that would oppose it.  I was hoping maybe in game 3 or could just be a seperate expansion as you mentioned.
