cannot register GalCiv2 Ultimate Edition

I just purchased GalCivII Ultimate Edition and Sins Of A Solar Empire from amazon.co.uk

they have both installed fine, but only SOAE has registered correctly. the serial provided for GC2 comes up as invalid, it then offers me a download of GalCiv2 Endless Universe, and on the registrations page it shows this product with the same serial number as Ultimate Edition, and says that its valid.

so it appears i've been given the serial number for the wrong product. what can i do about this? i definitely have the box, disc and manual for Ultimate Edition.

Did you get this to work?  I just bought the game as well and cant get it to accept the serial either.

Once its installed, open Impulse and click on the blue box, upper left corner, and select Detect Application.  See if that finds it.

This isnt doing it, it is saying that there is an error with the serial.  I have doubel and triple checked it.  It just wont work.

Grayhorse1 send one email to [email protected] giving full details of the problem you are having.  Do not send multiple emaiols as it will move you back to the end of the queue.

I sent an email yesterday.  Will hopefully get a response on Monday.  The game works now to play it, im just not able to update it.

hi, i've been offline for some time so haven't been able to check on this.

i realized the Impulse software was out of date, so i updated that first. it now appears to accept my serial number for GalCivII, but when i try and update it i get the error message "you have not entered registration details for this game, would you like to edit your registrations now?". when i go to the registrations page, the registration is there. if i update it, it accepts it again, then when i try to update the game i get the same error.
