version 1.19N Out of Memory

from Elemental Forums

I started getting the Out of Memory error agin after patching to 1.19m and still after 1.19N. I'm attaching the debug.err for the latest crash.

Hi Hanno555 - if you could post the recent saves, debug, and dmp file (if created) that would help. You can post these files through dropbox. You can check that out at dropbox.com. It should help the devs track down your specific oom - just a recommendation from a grizzled playtester like myself.

I have been following some of your posts. Geez! You're a freaking beast with the bug hunt. I admire your patience & tenacity. Do you worK?? Question: what is a dmp file and where would I find it? I'm not much for the tech side of things--I just wanna play the game.

phylast57, the zip location for the crashes AND the dmp file is (in xp)

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic

my guess for vshita & win7 would be

c:\progdata\application data\stardock\elemental - war of magic

and the other wanted files are in the \my docs\my games\elemental folder, ie the debug.err, the save folder(which holds ALL the saves), the mods, the screenshots, etc.

Okay, thanks. Is the file actually called "dmp" ? And is one always produced on a OOM crash?

Don't expect an answer from the Dev's, but they most certainly read these posts and use your files to help clean up their code.
