Is it possible to use Sins of the Fallen and Distant Stars at the same time or should I work at combining them?

I'm the creator of Sins of the Fallen. I can and have merged my source mod with Distant Stars. I don't have permission yet to release it though (Haven't asked Nacey yet). It's actually built as a bridge mod similar to my SinsPlus addon. Let me take a look at it as DS released a new version since I built it.
BTW, in the future I'd post in my thread if you have questions about Sotf as I almost didn't read this thread.
Ok. I'll be better about posting stuff in the right threads next time. Both mods are fantastic! I especially like the new strategies I have to put in to make your new races dominate completely.
