Yeah, it's really silly. Imo Brad goes quite the way to keep his political opinions away from the gaming part. So who he votes for doesn't matter at all to the game (and that's from somebody who probably has a 180° different view towards politics ).

But then, you never really expected good or insightful comments on a website dealing mainly with videos, did you? (I call it the youtube comments effect.)

I'm about as liberal as you can be these days, and I have no problem with Brad- he's one of the good guys.  I just wish business owners like Brad were more common, this country would be better off that way.

I think Fallen Enchantress is going to be a great game if it is done right (imo) it could be better the SMACX.

Yea, it's amazing just how polarized people get on this stuff.  For the record, I'm not a Republican or a Democrat, I'm an independent and not political in my day to day life.  But I will debate politics, religion, hardware, OSes, etc.  Worst flame wars I've ever been in were the OS/2 vs. Windows flame wars. 

The other thing that amazes me is that those people who feel they got burned on War of Magic get Fallen Enchantress for free. And to be fair, War of Magic is a pretty decent game and has been for a long time.  The entitlement attitude...ugh.

There isn't a releasedate. In the textinterview by Strategyinformer Kael said there isn't one. They plan to go (open)beta around spring though.

Yea, it's one thing to think the WoM game was bad, or that that it was unfinished, or blah, blah, blah.  But the one complaint that has really made me hate humanity a little more is that Stardock if screwing people by making FE a stand alone game instead of a "true" expansion.  Even though they are getting it for fucking FREE or discounted.  That shit boggles the mind.  Brad, I know you refrain from telling people to go fuck themselves, but really, some of us deserve it from time to time.  I know I do

Crossthread from FE: Weapons...  Lord Xia is a cross of all three weapon damage types... Blunt, cutting and piercing!  And that is why the most uber magical weapon in the game should be Xia's Rejoinder... a two handed weapon with a spearpoint at one end and a hammer and axe blade at the other...   Pure awesomeness! (like his posts!).

Darn it... I should have waited for the FE Design-a-weapon contest!!
