I second that.  It had better be good, Xia...

Sounds good. ^^

Hope to hear all the nitty gritty details afterwards.

If you can't make the live event, it is "recorded" so you can view it later.

Ooh, SR2020 multi player session, that sounds fun.  When I play alone, I always play as Kansas, my homeland...

We can participate?  Like ask questions?  Will Fallen Enchantress have ponies?  Will Frogboy ever come visit the child he and I made together?(I stole a baby and stapled a picture of Brad on it).

I was going to ask if the world was ready for Lord Xia, but I think he makes my case better than I ever could.

I suggest we keep him to ourselves.  Our perverse    little treasure that we don't share.

Can someone ask about the magic system and essence?

Hey guys,

My name is Joe Robinson, and I'm the Deputy Editor of Strategy Informer, and I'll be your host for the Live interview! Just to make it clear, this is a live TEXT-based interview, using the same software that Kotaku and other sites use for their liveblogs.

Here are somethings that you'll need to keep in mind about Tuesday's proceedings:

* As the host, I will be in control over what comments actually get posted live. You will be able to submit comments and questions at will, but you won't be able to see them unless I publish it live. In order to prevent things getting cluttered, I will only publish comments or questions that are relevent at the time.

* I will have my own list of questions to ask, but I'll try and keep this more community focused and let you guys do most of the talking.

* If you can't make it, but you still have questions you'd like to see asked, feel free to post them here. I'll be checking this thread before we start.

* As Island Dog pointed out, the once the event is over, the 'transcript' is automatically published in the same place as you viewed the live event, so you'll be able to catch up with what happened later.

If you have any further questions, do let me know. I hope you enjoy it!

NOTE: I've just noticed that it's listed as 8PM EST here, however I was under the impression it was 8 PM GMT. Since I live in the UK, 8 PM EST would be around midnight my time... I'm going to liase with Stardock about that, so keep an eye on this thread and our article in case the time changes.

I wont be able to make it but Idefinitely want to see a question about what kind of spells can we expect? Will they be the same but upgraded? Will they look more spectacular than War of Magic? Any chance we see main map spells which will last and force the player / ennemy to adopt a new strategy? Any summoning / controlling of big mean dragons? And will there be any new victory conditions?

:dur:

Hey guys,

So I've just been talking with Stardock - we're going to leave things as they are, so 8PM EST (1AM GMT) as before will be the start time.

Guess I'm going ot need plenty of tea.

See you then!

Again, a reminder the live chat is tonight with Derek Paxton!

I would like to know more about city specialization in FE... city specialization in EWOM means building 50 studies in one city to specialize on research which is really boring.

I would also like to know more about the item types in FE... are we going to see common/uncommon/rare/set/socket-able item types?

Great interview, Joe! Thanks for staying up so long to moderate the interview. And thanks to Derek as well for taking the time to hold the interview. It was a great conversation that expanded on our knowledge of the mechanics and the underlying design concepts behind FE. I look forward to more great interviews with Stardock in the future.

Oh, and I've got to say "Yay!" for pulling off the win in the round 2 trivia competition (I knew my love of Civ would pay off someday!). Thanks for the generosity, Strategy Informer.

So, may we use this thread to ask some follow-up questions from the interview?

Cool interview, just read it. Gratz to the winners of the prizes. Derek - put your pants back on.
