This error keeps popping up and the game shuts down. Any suggestions as to how to correct this problem ?
Save and save often?
If you are on a 64-bit OS, there are solutions that will make it take longer to happen. Look for programs to enable the "Large Address Aware" (LAA) flag. Let it be noted that such things are not sactioned and will need to be redone after each patch.
