Let me view the city before selecting the bonus

The name of cities are difficult to remember, and when the popup comes to ask me what selection I want for that city, I often have no idea what I have been specializing that city in or what natural resources are nearby. Please allow me to view the city and it's surroundings before selecting the bonus option.

This has been brought up before and hopefully they will resolve that problem.   You're locked into that screen until you make a choice.  You can hit "tab" and bounce to different cities.  But that screen is stil in the way often blocking the city you want to view.  Keeping my fingers crossed for a fix.

Until they fix it you can try naming the cities such as "Capital1", "Food1", "Arcane1", etc. Not very roleplayish but it helps alot when trying to remember what city does what.

Yeah I use Capital, One - Food, Two - Metal, etc as my name scheme. Thus the first part is the order the town was created and the second is what is special about the city itself.

im still playing version 1.0 (have a savegame i dont wanna lose ... even though that means a hellalot of crashes while playing *lol*) and i have no problem with what you speak of. when my cities reach the next level and im asked what bonus i want them to have i can always see the ressource-production on the left side. it might not be eye-catching, but its there (although, this would only be helpfull if the city is already specialized on the production of a certain ressource)

I use a letter and numerical value after the city name, for instance:

Ravenloft F1

"Ravenloft" being the cities name, and F1 meaning it has a level 1 food bonus.

Preferably though, fixing the issue would be best.

When the city level-up dialog pops up, the citys info screen shows up in the UI toward the bottom-left of the screen.  This feature is already in the game, folks.

i wonder what they're going to do about city bonuses in FE?!?!  Maybe we need a design a city bonus contest!

I use non role playing names for cities, as well.  Each city has a main name.  Arcane, book, gold, etc.   If the city has a strong second resource / production, I add the appropriate name after the main name.  BTW, I almost always take a 'protector' at first settlement level up.

ArcaneSW     BookmaxE (for city with greatest tech research production in my kingdom.   You get the idea.  Everyone has their own style... and I hope this helps you develop your own that works for you.

Yes, it is annoying. I solve it by naming city's after their purpose, this however destroys immersion of games.
