[1.19c] CTD and Corrupted Saves

I saved the game and then raided an enemy city. I didn't like how the battle went so tried to reload the save. CTD, no messages. Upon re-starting Elemental all the save games going back 5 or so saves will not re-load (they just crash to desktop, no message). I didn't test them all, but history tells me if I go back far enough in the saves, one will work. Unfortunately I really don't want to re-play that many turns. I actually don't get that many OOMs or CTDs (one maybe in 200-300 turns), but they usually do kill my saves, which IMHO makes it worse as I can't play a game to finish. I really, really want to dominate the world please!
