Application Configuration is Incorrect.

I just got elemental.

However I can't play it because the "Application Configuration is Incorrect" Error. The application fails (at life) to start.

I am also requested to reinstall it, which never works. It's a fact.

I've heward it might need some dlls but I tried downloading all sorts of updates for windows. Nothing worked.

I got Windows Professional SP2, 700 MB ram and 2.4 Ghz.

is your windows 2000,xp, vista or 7,(btw win 2000, xp <sp3 are no longer supported by M$$$$$)

and is it 32 bit or 64 bit,(xp 64bit is no longer supported by M$$$$$, and was NOT supported by stardock)

and what video card do you have,

but also consider adding MOOORE RAM as 700mb is tiny now and elemental needs atleast 1gb preferably 2gb, and the windows will want another 512(win2k,xp)-2gb(vista) on top.

I'm on XP.

I'm pretty sure it's 32 because, in My Computer/Properties it doesn't write 64 at the System.

I am also pretty sure it is not a Ram/Graphic problem since I do not see a black screen, just the error.

Downloading the Visual C++ 2005 Runtime from Microsoft's website and installing it should sort this. It should be installed by default with the game, but may not have for some reason.

System requirements are SP3.. so i imagine its something your lacking with only having SP2.

In that case, please contact [email protected].

Best advice.. but they will probably just point out you need SP3.. lol. But who knows they may have a work around to get it working on SP2.. don't know why they would require SP3 if they have a simple work around to get it to work on SP2 though.

Hmmm... Is there some way to upgrade it?

Windows update, if you don't get the option from auto updates theres a manual install download from MS for "network administrators" that works.

Right click on my computer, select properties and check what it says first, you may have already installed it and didn't know since you mentioned doing tons of windows updates.

If your already running it and it won't run then def. contact stardock support like kyro said. Otherwise try getting SP3 before creating a ticket would be my suggestion.

(btw if kyro says it should run on SP2 then disregard my postings.. but i think he might have skimmed over the thread too quickly and missed that your running XP SP2)
