Will multiplayer receive attention?

I'm curious as to the state of Elemental multiplayer.  Originally, I purchased the game so I could play this cooperatively with my friends (previously, we'd been playing Age of Wonders and then Fall From Heaven for the past couple years).  Elemental had a rough launch, and understandably the multiplayer patches didn't come out as expected.

I just want to know where things stand with multiplayer, with Fallen Enchantress and War of Magic going forward.  All I'm really looking for is:

- The ability to play the "full" single player experience, in multiplayer.  This includes tactical battles.

- The ability to host a game on my local machine

- The ability to use mods in multiplayer

Will any of these be a possibility?  Are there still plans, or is this something that I'll just need to write off as a loss at this point?

Thanks for any info.

Well as of now no word for changes in multiplayer, seems like its a part of the "later plans".

Since I have actually asked the same almost 1.5 month before and received no straight answer about the subject :)

Unless of course I am wrong, then probably a dev will popup and correct me ^^

Would be great if the 1st and 3rd of your ideas come to pass.  I have a group of friends that are waiting for that feature to happen.  But, I'd wager the kinks need to be ironed out of the base game before they delve into that area.

They will improve multiplayer as more people come to use it. And people will use it once it has been improved. Therefore do not hold your breath for major multiplayer support.

I actually think that Stardock will focus on Elemental's multiplayer, even if it doesn't happen until one of the following expansions.  I feel like Stardock wants to expand the game engine, and part of doing so will be making multiplayer work.

I know at least 5 people that would buy Elemental if you could do full games as described with tactical battles and all. So like me and a friend or two could start a game and either work together against computer or work on our own. That would be alot of fun. I love the game already but coop multiplayer with the tactical battles,etc.. would be just wicked as more of my friends would get it then (:
