[1.19] xp gf7600 system graphics glitches verified install, still in 1.19b with added screen issues

on my flamer computer dxdiag after a 1.91GB download for updating from 1.11, I stared a new game, and during the sovereign screen noticed a graphics corruption.

here are some screenies from the sov window

notice the hair and side of arms both have a odd texture, and this is happening on all of the sovs & other units, and every where except the cloth map

here is  screenie from a tac battle

tac battle

the bands even keep the same relationship even when turning the battle map

and here is a early clothmap screenie

cloth map screenie

and an early stage non cloth map view

note this has only happened on ONE of my computers, the other two with 1.19 are ati win7 64 bit machines, I did have a slightly similar issue back in beta 2-3 on the same video card, but that was fixed after release.

and just in case you are about to post the suggestion to verify the installation, when I first saw this issue, I re-opened impulse and verified BOTH elemental WOM AND destiny's embers, both correctly installed

Glad you posted these.  I started a thread yesterday on  eye graphics being 2 sets on each characters but couldn't post pics.  I don't get distortion anywhere else though. Or at least so far.

I kinda like em.  It's pretty.

I have the issue with the eyes being below where they should be on face and that is all I have seen so far.

Note this occurs on every portrait.

harpo,

Can you please provide us with your debug.err file?  It should be located in your /documents/my games/Elemental  folder.

Please post the contents here so we can take a look at what it says.

For those of you with the "double eyes" issue, please post your debug.err as well.

Those of you who posted dxdiags seem to have recent drivers.  For the others, if you havent already, please make sure you update your drivers first and see if that solves the problem.

Thank you.

This is the coolest game error I have ever seen. It reminds me of the old Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire N64 game. You could put on invincibility and just fly infinitely out into the wastes of Hoth. Then, if you turned a bit it would make the snowspeeder into a pen for drawing infinite speeders across the sky.

Enjoy your bug, good sir, before the evil Stardockians steal it from you! 8C

I noticed this bug is with 1.19.  Have you tried updating to 1.19a?  If so, does the problem remain in that version as well?

codecritter, the graphic bug is STILL in 1.19a on the geforce 7600gs systemwith the latest nvidia drivers (btw this problem DIDNOT occour in 1.11, but as I have not verified the install YET, but I have not noticed the issue on the ati5850 system either.

and here is the rar of the latest debug.err & dxdiag (the debug is from a driver crashbsd ending game

End of CodeCritter's quote

I updated to 1.19a, the problem persists. Interestingly enough, if I zoom all the way in on the cloth map, the problem will disappear. However the moment I zoom out even a little, it returns.

burningvillage, I also hadnoticed that zooming in to the individual in tactical did clear  the glitch in the forground, butas I started to zoom out it came back.

this is STILL happening in 1.19b and a new issue added is that the ENTIRE SCREEN blanks to black and redraws approximatly twice a second.

Same here. This issue has made this game unplayable for the past 2 weeks. This patch has not addressed the problem.

harpo99999 and Burningvillage, can you please post your debug.err files from the 1.19b version please?

Thank you.

I just downloaded and installed Elemental v1.19c. There is no improvement with regards to the problem listed above.
